On Recital Day
-
Please arrive at the theater no later than 30 minutes before show time to allow your dancer time to acclimate and get ready to shine on stage!
-
The dressing room is accessed from inside the auditorium so if you are late, you’ll have to wait outside the theater doors in order to enter in between dances, so please don’t be late.
-
-
To ensure dancers' safety, and move smoothly through each show, all dancers will stay backstage for the entire show.
-
For our youngest dancers, we will have supervision backstage in the dressing room and snacks and activities to keep them occupied while they are not dancing.
-
-
We will have a final bow at the end of each show. Please plan to stay till the end of the show to give your dancer one more moment in the spotlight!
-
If you need to leave early, please plan to leave in between dances.

Female dancers should have their hair in a neat bun pulled back away from their face and secured with plenty of bobby pins and a hair net. If the hair is too short for a bun, then hair should be pulled back and neatly secured away from the face with bobby pins or a headband that matches the child’s hair color. Bangs may be worn if they are neat and do not hang in the eyes.
-
Male dancers must comb the hair neatly away from the face and use hairspray to keep the style in place and out of the eyes.

Wear headpieces on the LEFT side of the head (unless it is a scrunchie, elastic, hat or headband

No jewelry may be worn on stage unless it is provided as part of the costume

Older girls should wear a flesh colored camisole leotard with adjustable clear straps under costumes, unless the costume is a leotard, and please conceal all bra/camisole straps.

For younger girls’ costumes with leotards, tutus, and skirts - Please pull up underwear, so that it doesn’t show onstage.
