    • Due to our studio’s small size, Visions must sell tickets to cover recital costs. Tickets may be purchased here

      • Doors will open 30 minutes before show time

      • Dancers should plan to arrive no later than 30 minutes before show time

    • OFC Creations Theater Center, 3450 Winton Place

    • Performance lineups are being developed now and will be shared soon

    • Shows will be professionally photographed for marketing purposes, and the photographer will be moving around the theater during the performance.

    • There will be flowers, teddy bears, and other recital gifts for sale before and after the shows in the lobby, to help make your dancer's experience extra special!

  • Mandatory Dress Rehearsal

    • Thursday, June 19, 2025

    • 5:30 pm

    • OFC Creations Theater Center, 3450 Winton Place

    • For classes who did not perform in the May 3rd benefit show

    • We will do our best to move through rehearsal quickly and efficiently starting with our youngest dancers.

    • Please be on time and ready to dance at 5:30

    • This is a dress rehearsal so dancers should wear their full costumes, makeup, and have hair up in a neat bun or similar style, pulled away from their face. See makeup guidelines below.

  • On Recital Day

    • Please arrive at the theater no later than 30 minutes before show time to allow your dancer time to acclimate and get ready to shine on stage!

      • The dressing room is accessed from inside the auditorium so if you are late, you’ll have to wait outside the theater doors in order to enter in between dances, so please don’t be late.

    • To ensure dancers' safety, and move smoothly through each show, most dancers (typically older performers) will stay backstage for the entire show.

      • For our youngest dancers (under 8-9), we will share plans at rehearsal for when and how to bring your dancers backstage prior to their number.

        • Dancers who sit in their own seats must have a purchased ticket, so we expect that most dancers can sit on a family member’s lap when not dancing to keep things affordable and allow for enough seats to accommodate all audience members.

      • Younger dancers who wish to remain backstage for the entire performance will be well-supervised by teachers and assistants.

    • We will have a final bow at the end of each show. Please plan to stay till the end of the show to give your dancer one more moment in the spotlight!

      • If you need to leave early, please plan to leave in between dances so as not to disrupt other audience members..

  • Make-up and hair (for a uniform, professional appearance onstage):

    • Makeup is recommended to enhance facial features under the stage lights, otherwise faces may look washed out in video and pictures. Please note: our venue is not very large, so makeup does not have to be very heavy. It should complement and define the dancer’s features without looking unnatural.

      • Recommended (optional for dancers ages 3-5)

        • Foundation (optional for younger dancers)

        • Eye shadow (brown, not heavy)

        • Blush (can be very light for male dancers)

        • Lipstick (color should complement the dancers features)

        • Eye Liner (can be very light for male dancers)

        • Mascara

    • Hairstyles

      • Long-haired dancers should have their hair in a neat bun pulled back away from their face and secured with plenty of bobby pins and a hair net.

      • Dancers with short hair (too short for a bun), should have hair combed or pulled back and neatly secured away from the face with bobby pins or a headband that matches the child’s hair color. Bangs may be worn if they are neat and do not hang in the eyes.

      • Use enough hairspray to keep the style in place and out of the eyes through jumps and turns!

  • Headpieces, jewelry, etc

    • Wear headpieces on the LEFT side of the head (unless it is a scrunchie, elastic, hat or headband)

    • No colored nail polish on fingers or toes

    • No jewelry may be worn on stage unless it is provided as part of the costume

      • Please wait until after recital to get new piercings (including ears), tattoos, permanent jewelry, henna body art, colored manicures, etc.

    • Older girls should wear a flesh-colored camisole leotard with adjustable clear straps under costumes, unless the costume is a leotard, and please conceal all bra/camisole straps.

    • For younger girls’ costumes with leotards, tutus, and skirts - Please pull up underwear, so that it doesn’t show onstage.
